Once, thirty years ago I started my meditation practice. It all started in my junior year of college at Northern Michigan University chilly. I was introduced to a popular tradition of meditation. Over the years I have struggled to maintain this practice began, and over time because of the fight, I have invested a lot of money for other types of meditation, which has promised to help me to empty my mind of thoughts.
Until recently I was presented a traditional meditation cushion. What a revelation! I did not realize all these years of struggle could have been avoided by simply having a good meditation cushion to help me get the correct position to optimize breathing and spinal alignment.
It turns out that when you sit cross-legged on the floor, the knee positioned over your hips and your pelvis is tilted back, it is almost impossible to get a deep breath and go back to be straight! But by sitting on a meditation cushion firm that fits your size and level of your knees slightly flexible to rest on the floor, your pelvis angles slightly forward and your spine is automatically right, and will remain that way with ease through your meditation session.
So after 30 years of struggle and dollars spent on technical umteen increasingly promised to help me to meditate, I finally found the solution to my dilemma meditation! Meditation cushions! I never guessed it could be so easy!
